Mardi Gras in Lithuania - for EBU
A traditional Mardi Gras celebration took place in Lithuanian Folk Museum. Thousands of mummers have gathered to propel the winter. Although a blizzard was raging it didn't deter the crowd. About 20 thousands of people have came to Lithuanian Folk Museum, located between capital Vilnius and Kaunas (second bigest city in Lithuania). Among entertainment there were a traditional fair, folk dances, songs, tricks, sauna, sledge rally, horse riding, workshops of masks and baking pancakes. However, the culmination of the fest was a burning jackstraw -- a symbol of the end of the winter. Mardi Gras is an old fest. Its essence is to propel the winter and to welcome spring. Shotlist: 1.
